Cloud Computing

Cloud Computing is the supply of computing resources on demand, from websites or applications to data centers through the Internet, are IT environments that extract, group and share flexible resources in a network. Cloud Computing is an action that is responsible for running workloads in the cloud. The Cloud are environments where applications are executed.

CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a group of servers distributed in different geographical areas that allows offering several points of presence (PoPs) outside the origin server that speed up the delivery of content by bringing it closer to users. CDNs were created to solve network congestion problems caused by content delivery over the Internet.

A Data Center is a facility that centralizes an organization’s shared IT operations and equipment for the purposes of storing, processing, and disseminating data and applications. The Data Centers allow to process, serve or store data. The main objective of a Data Center is to host the necessary servers to support the services of the computer systems offered. These servers are placed in large cabinets called racks. The Data Centers provide the bandwidth, security, cooling and facilities, to have the servers in conditions of use and optimal performance.

The Cloud has become the norm of the IT model, companies of any size can benefit from migrating to the cloud. There are many factors why we should migrate our infrastructure to the cloud: 24/7 Availability, Cost Savings, Security, Flexibility, User Experience, Scalability and Increased Productivity. Having an IT infrastructure in the cloud means that we no longer have to worry about the maintenance of software and hardware. The question is no longer whether to do it, but how fast can we do it and what to migrate first. IDC forecasts that global “cloud” spending will reach $1.3 trillion by 2025.
